Board Update - Developer Coordination and Stormwater Management
Published: September 18, 2025
The Board of Directors would like to provide additional updates regarding the community, following our letter last week.
The Developer has obtained an opinion and estimate for mitigation of the detention pond area and hopes to proceed with the work soon, contingent upon approval of the work plan by the City and weather permitting.
The home builders and the City met this week to discuss how best to protect the storm water inlets from getting trash and debris in them, while also preventing any of the flooding that has been seen in the recent rain events.
The City does not want the inlet filters removed unless in dire circumstances. Both parties have agreed to replace several of the inlet covers with a different type of cover that will sit inside the inlet and allow more water to flow into the system, while also preventing dirt and debris from entering. Both the home builders and the City think this may be the solution and both are committed to keep working on the best approach.
We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as the Board tries to make sure that these issues are handled properly and effective resolutions are established.
